I was comparing these two pictures and it apears the only difference between the 1.8L distributor housing and
the 2.2L distributor housing is that the 1.8L is cut off just below the bolt hole in the center at the bottom.

The 2.2L sort of dog legs off to the left just below where the timing cover bolt hole would be located on the 1.8L.

I am guessing that the 2.2L housing just might work on this type of head that Xulf13 used.

its more to do with the thickness of the housing as to why it doesn't just swap over, and the head is machined differently too between the fwd and the rwd models.

ive always wanted to do this but always thought i had to convert to efi too.you did a good job man thats crazy you said it runs alot better then your jdm 2.0 cause i have that same jdm 2.0 and think it feels like a race truck compared to my stock 2.2

Yes, the head is machined differently and the front plate is machined differently to match it, the front cam cap, and the valve cover. Eddie spent at least $150 on that front plate, I'm sure if he could have used one off of an american engine he would have.

Nice, it should do real well now, you well need to post another vid with that carb.

Eddie, I'm just getting around to building up an engine using the EFI manifold you sold me. Also, I've got our "source" sending me another carb manifold for yet another project!
