Looking sweet, it's good to see the plenum in there with TB on it! That has to be the most heavy duty plenum ever made! :-)

One thing, if you haven't, put heatsink grease behind those ignitors!! and, even then, keep a close eye on them as panel steel isn't the best heat sink...

I can tell you that one of those running a stock fe3 at idle grows too hot to touch within a minute. At higher revs it would be worse. With some sinking it won't be that bad, but you need to keep an eye on it for sure.

Keep up the pics, all in good fun! :-) I appreciate them. I also know it's a pain to upload so many so often. Thanks!

Should be awesome. Lots of custom parts in that thing now, you have officially reached the status of super gearhead

Lol, looking at you're plenum I just got the crazy a$$ idea to take my lower FI manifold out of storage make a plenum like you're and bolting two Holley 5200s on top I wonder how hard it would be to syncronize the two...???

DO IT That would be awesome K6, now you have my brain going. I that it that would be for use with the 12valve head right? If you used Mustang 2 Holley's and mounted the linkage so that the shafts were perpendicular to the head and the linkage was on the engine side you could use the two ball joints and connect them with an adjustable bar and then just have the throttle cable connect to that.

Is a valid concern. I was going to ask if the f2t uses a brace like the fe3, but then I spied this :

http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...cture449-1.jpg

I'm sure you aren't using yours for the same reason I didn't use mine. I.E. it wouldnt fit with the engine mount for rwd. I fabbed brackets to the head such that it is all triangulated. If you also do that, you should be ok. Because they will be in tension like that they don't need to be as beefy as the mazda one you aren't using.

Here are mine :

http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...439cropped.jpg

cropped and uploaded just for you!

I used the oem steel brackets that the plenum used to bolt to to attach my brackets. I tried it without the bottom half bolted down, and it's rock solid.

Perhaps do something similar? You should do something though.

Even with paste under the ignitors, keep an eye on them.

no worries, but be sure to check polarity of output with the extra phase. set dwell short say 1ms and watch an led to ensure its mostly off at low revs, invert it and confirm that it is mostly on, then hook up the ignition (not the fuel) and check timing. set a fixed angle and check it, then adjust dwell drastically to say 5ms and check it again, if it moved, something is wrong, if it didn't move you are golden. keep an eye on coil temperature at first to ensure that they aren't running hot.

excessive dwell WILL kill the coils. once you know where you are, you probably want to start with 3ms and work from there. I set my COP setup to 4ms (which is high) and saw upto 4.5ms in the logs, dwelling longer than 5ms is pointless, except at lower voltages when cranking.

those values in my AWESOME diagram should be fairly safe. you may not need that pull up one, but it cant hurt. infact, make that a 12v pull up not 5v. i was thinking that it was attached to the processor when i drew it, but it's not. 12v pullup would kill the ms2, but 5v wouldnt. 5v is probably wrong for outside the vb though.

keep up the amatuer photography :-) I was just saying to a few people today that your thread is my favourite source of entertainment at the moment. fe3 land is dead as... i have a 1uzfe TT mate doing cool stuff at home too, hes good value also.
