mounts will be all different, but you can swap over the trans tailhousing so the crossmember will work with it.

one other guy on here just did this swap actually.

Is there thread I could look up? So you saying that 1982(1st gen) transmission tailhousing is different unless I swap it with my (2rd gen) transmission tailhousing correct?

I am surprised 1st Gen transmission for diesel engine are bad and lot of flaws design than 2rd Gen transmission?

I was wondering with Mitsubishi 4D55/4D56 diesel engines would be good for other choice to swap in with my 1986 Mazda B2000?

Do anyone here can confirm this engine would bolt up on my stock 5sp transmission no problem or required swap the bell housing of from what?

It might, MIGHT, bolt onto a Type III trans, but definately not the M519 yours uses.

to use a mitsu diesel your would want an 88 b2600 carbed 2wd trans, or a newer b2600i 2wd trans with the 85-88 carbed b2600 4x4 trans bellhousing.

if your worried about the diesel trans strength, then swap the diesel bell housing onto the 2nd gen 2wd trans, it should be more than strong enough
