Default Gauges

Finally got the last of the gauges hooked up. 80psi oil at idle cold, 35psi hot. Even after warm up it climbs quickly above idle and runs at 75psi above 70km/h. No bad bearings anywhere I guess. Also connected a buzzer instead of idiot light in case the crummy plastic oil line they sell with the gauge lets go. I really should replace that with a copper line I suppose.

that little plastic line can hold alot of pressure, you'd be supprised.

figure out any pics of this thing yet?

yeah, those plastic lines can hold a lot of pressure. Problem occurs in case if it ever gets kinked, they like to break and bleed. My old caprice kept doing that till I replaced it with the copper line. No more leaks then

that seems about normal for a small diesel engine at idle. i think my benz is right around there, maybe alittle bit less.

i've never done this swap before but i've done enough into mazdas
Thanks very much for that tranny tip. Not sure what to do about engine mounts yet. Looks like the frame rails are further apart in the 91.
