you may have to ask US customs. Should be pretty easy since the DOT requirements between Canada and US are similar.

ok so i've sorted out most of my car issues (a select few know what im talking about lol) and got more stuff done on the truck, being that it hasn't sold yet. my top end gasket set should be here soon too at which point ill also notch out the oil pan so the steering link doesn't want to touch it at full lock. im also gonna be painting it all flat black, i just really think that would make it pop. i pulled all the stupid stripes and trim off and cleaned off the glue as well in preparation for paint

i did get the tail gate sanded and painted and i think it actually came better than i had planned.

i also moved the filler spot from inside the box up through the top of the wood box cover. much better for a funnel for used oil, etc.

got the box sanded and painted today, actually came out pretty good

gaskets showed up today as well, so she'll be getting torn apart this week i think.

the head is back on, just waiting on some small gaskets for the chain tensioner and the thermostat then it'll be back running again. i also cut the oil pan for the notch i need to properly clear the steering link. the egr has now been welded over on the exhaust mani, and there will be a block off plate on intake too. i think ill dummy the boost down to 10 psi for now, make it good and safe so the gasket wont be in jepordy anymore. the timing chain and all the sliders in the front look in mint shape, i swear it must have been done recently, or they just last that long

lol rust repair...... ummmmm, no rust repair, just a good sanding and some paint

this box is pretty bad anyways so im not to worried about it. im also debating on loosing the stack and carrying the 3" pipe out the back to the stock location? the stack just seems to "in your face" for the flat black theme ill be going with. plus anyone thats looked at the truck as a potential buyer has said that would be the first thing they would change.

i did get the box mostly painted, ds was done with spray cans, ps was done with the paint gun and air (way better and cheaper)

that bi*ch is heavy!

ill take some more as it goes. i like how the flat black makes all that rearend damage look not so bad

Yeah, when I was looking to do a stack in the rear, I was wanting to put it outside of the box, right next to the pillar. What mainly turned me off is that a passenger can burn their hand on it if they blindly reach there.

yah, i think smoke pouring out a big tail pipe will look just as cool, and still sound really good

ok so i have the head back on now, i also finished up the oil pan and got it back on now too. theres about 3/4" all around the steering link now when its at full lock, so there is no chance of contact

hopefully my little gaskets are here tomorrow or ill just make my own, they are pretty simple, and some ultra black is always my helpful friend
