Default R90Baron's Florida Truck

I guess I'll start this thread....again! As some of you probably knew that I picked up a 1991 B2600i for R90Baron last weekend and I had a thread started on it but the site crash erased it, so here it goes again!

Bought it after seeing it on Craigslist for sale. It ain't to clean but that will change shortly. I am going to gunk the motor for him and see if I can clean it up a bit. All and all, it's a decent buy I think.....the motor runs well but it does have high mileage and I haven't run it much (to see how it is when up to operating temp) because it's missing the power steering gearbox,.....(pump is still on it and it has spewed it's life blood all out of the system while it's ran!....pump works!)...... and I think I might have one stashed in the garage somewhere. Gotta look for it this weekend, it's off a 2200 but I would think the gearbox is the same, all the plumbing is still in the 2600 truck. Enough talk, it's time to resurrect the photos!!

There's a couple of dents but I have seen MUCH worse on a B before!

Bedliner is in good shape and the bed floor looks to be good also.

P.O. didn't take care of the interior.

5 speed and a tach dash!

Engine is all there, just need that gearbox.....might be able to remedy that this weekend!

Couple of things missing here....A/C comp. and P/S/ gearbox....A/C comp is between the seats in the cab.

From using a forklift to load and unload it at the wrecking yard where I bought it. We drove it on my trailer and I drove it off when I got it home!

I think I could fix this thing up and make a dollar or two, what do ya think Will!

Oh, and the CD player that was in the back, IT WORKS!!

It's dirty and has a rubbed lens on the face plate, might be able to polish it out a little.

By the time 90Baron gets done splicing the frame, making another rear seat shelf, adding bucket seats, and making new door panels it will be looking pretty good. Then I just need to convince him to make it a duallie and lower it 3 inches, lol.

Hey that's 2 good idea's for him.
1) A dually will carry more bike weight.
2) 3" lower will make loading a bike a bit easier.

2600i's are few and far between here. I got lucky and found one about a year ago with only 105,000. Mine doesn't have the bubble hood though. I guess dealwithit gets em all up in the great white north. and Axel in the sunny south.

If you need a bed for a CabPlus, I've already got one in the back yard. I'm using it for a shed but the wife would like it gone.

R90Baron's truck can now be steered from the drivers seat!
I put the manual steering box on it from the parts truck, fired it up and moved it onto the concrete......you know what that means! I'll be massaging this B2600i a lil bit! Gonna change the oil, de-gunk the engine compartment, and start cleaning it up some. Probably get started right after Easter, gotta do some chores around the house tomorrow, and then have family coming in Saturday morning, so I won't have much time this weekend. Speaking of the parts truck......it finally met it's destiny today, with one swoop of the crane's arm, it dropped down and grabbed the truck by the roof, squeezed it's 4 huge fingers and puckered the whole roof and then lifted it right off the trailer and swung it around and dropped it when it was at least 15' in the air and it landed with a thud about 60' away from my trailer. I pulled around to the collection area and pocketed $124.25 for scrapping the carcass. Not bad for no motor, trans, or rearend.......and alot of other stuff missing.
